Sustainability Claims Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

This Sustainability Claims Policy outlines how NOTOXIC® Universe makes environmental and social impact claims, distinguishing between verified claims and aspirational goals. We are committed to transparency, accuracy, and avoiding greenwashing in all our communications.

All sustainability claims made by NOTOXIC® Universe are subject to this Policy, including claims on our website, product pages, marketing materials, and social media.

1. Verified vs Aspirational Claims

1.1 Verified Claims

Verified claims are backed by objective evidence and are clearly marked as verified. Verification is based on:

  • Third-Party Certifications: Valid certifications from recognized bodies (GOTS, organic, fair trade, etc.)
  • Independent Audits: Audits conducted by independent, accredited third-party auditors
  • Measurable Data: Quantifiable metrics and data that can be verified and reproduced
  • Traceability Documentation: Complete documentation of supply chain, materials, and processes
  • Scientific Validation: Claims supported by scientific research or industry-standard methodologies

1.2 Aspirational Claims

Aspirational claims are clearly labeled as goals, targets, or commitments and are distinguished from verified claims:

  • Future Targets:Goals and commitments for future achievement (e.g., "Targeting 100% renewable energy by 2030")
  • Ongoing Initiatives:Improvement programs in progress (e.g., "Working towards carbon neutrality")
  • Roadmap Items:Planned actions and milestones (e.g., "Planned certification by 2025")
  • Progress Updates: Regular updates on progress towards aspirational goals

1.3 Clear Labeling

We use clear visual and textual indicators to distinguish:

  • Verified Claims:Marked with verification badges, certification logos, or "Verified" labels
  • Aspirational Claims:Clearly marked with terms like "Target," "Goal," "Working Towards," or "Planned"
  • Context: Additional context provided where needed to clarify the nature of the claim
