Environmental Impact Reporting
Last updated: June 4, 2026
This Environmental Impact Reporting Policy outlines how NOTOXIC® Universe measures, reports, and maintains transparency regarding our environmental and social impact metrics. We are committed to providing accurate, verifiable, and transparent impact data to our stakeholders.
All impact metrics are calculated using verified methodologies, regularly updated, and subject to third-party verification where applicable. This Policy works in conjunction with our Sustainability Claims Policy to ensure accuracy and transparency.
1. Water Saved Metrics
1.1 Calculation Methodology
Water savings are calculated based on:
- Organic vs Conventional Cotton: Comparison of water usage in organic cotton production vs conventional cotton (typically 91% less water for organic)
- Water-Efficient Manufacturing: Water savings from efficient dyeing, finishing, and processing methods
- Recycling and Circular Economy: Water savings from Plan C circular economy practices (reusing/recycling vs new production)
- Methodology Standards: Based on Water Footprint Network standards and industry LCA databases
1.2 Display and Reporting
Water saved metrics are:
- Displayed in liters saved per product or purchase
- Aggregated at order, account, and platform levels
- Updated in real-time or near real-time
- Available through impact dashboards and reports
1.3 Verification
Water saved calculations are:
- Based on verified product data and certifications
- Subject to periodic third-party verification
- Regularly audited and validated
- Documented with methodology and assumptions
2. CO₂ Avoided Metrics
2.1 Calculation Methodology
CO₂ avoidance is measured through:
- Renewable Energy Usage: CO₂ avoided through use of renewable energy (solar, wind, biogas) in production facilities
- Carbon-Neutral Shipping: CO₂ offset through carbon-neutral shipping options and carbon offset programs
- Local Sourcing: Reduced transportation emissions through local and regional sourcing
- Circular Economy (Plan C): CO₂ avoided through reuse, recycling, and circular practices vs new production
- Organic Production: Lower emissions from organic farming vs conventional (reduced synthetic inputs)
- Methodology Standards: Based on ISO 14067, GHG Protocol, and industry LCA standards
2.2 Display and Reporting
CO₂ avoided metrics are:
- Displayed in kilograms (kg) or tons of CO₂ equivalent avoided
- Aggregated at product, order, account, and platform levels
- Updated regularly with new data
- Available through impact dashboards and reports
2.3 Verification
CO₂ avoided calculations are:
- Based on verified energy usage and production data
- Subject to periodic third-party carbon footprint verification
- Regularly audited and validated
- Documented with methodology, assumptions, and emission factors
